Facebook App Install Ads How To Get More App Downloads whats going on so I couldnt be more excited to show you exactly how you can run Facebook Ads for your app extremely efficiently and get a ton of downloads my name is John and Ive done over 25 million downloads on Apple alone so Im gonna show you literally every single thing that Ive done to get every single download with Facebook Ads in this really long article right here right now so whether youre getting started or youre already doing some app install ads or even if youre an expert I guarantee you will learn so much in this article the Im still making apps and I am still running Facebook ads showing you live data every single day and Im gonna compile it all into this article here so let me kind of go over the agenda for this this article training on exactly how to crush Facebook Ads for your apps so part 1 will be kind of just setting up your initial app install campaign right we want to set it up in a very special way that 99 of people who do not set it up this way but but I do and Ill show you why in the first section of this and then well go to the second part talking about how to create the perfect audience Im always preaching the three things that really matter are audience creative and offer so you really really want to nail your audience because if youre showing your ads to an audience that you know doesnt like your app its never gonna convert youre gonna waste a ton of money and youre just not gonna get result good results Im able to get two installs for under 20 cents in the US for four different apps and games and I want to show you exactly how to do that here right now and Im not talking at you know ten dollars per day Im talking about thousands of dollars per day like its scale so part three well go over how to grow your ad account every single day so instead of spending five dollars a day Im gonna show you how to profit Li bring that up to hundreds of day hundreds of dollars a day and Im talking put $1.00 in get three four dollars out so that would be part three and then part four were gonna talk about custom audiences and look-alike audiences theyre so so important and again 90 of marketers and app developers are doing this incorrectly if you do it my way you will see way way better results then were gonna finish it up and kind of just have a wrap-up and go over some other hidden gem secrets that youre probably not using currently with your Facebook Ads for app installs its funny because you know I work with companies that will spend a million plus per month and I look at their their their ad account and things are just totally wrong and Im just like how are you spending so much money why are you burning all this cash and then day one Ill jump jump on and run their ads for them and get like five times better results I had my buddy I started working with just this weekend I set up in a campaign for them and that first day he hits me up and he says you are literally getting six to seven times better results than we are and we just raised ten million dollars so if youre pumped to see this whole training see exactly how to run app install ads on Facebook to help around and lets start the show whats going on guys so I wanted to start this training out with just going over the fundamentals of how we set up Facebook Ads for app installs and how weve been doing it for the last couple years to absolutely crush it so if you follow along this exact path of saying up your app installs youre gonna be set perfectly to really crush it with AD show so first things first we go into power editor right off the bat so up top you might be used to working in ads manager but were gonna be working in power editor now the cool thing is once you set up your first couple app install ad campaigns then ad chill will do a lot of the heavy lifting for you so you dont have to look at this user interface very much so lets go on to power editor and set up the first initial campaign for your app installs so I like to set up one campaign per country so Im gonna start with just USA and lets start with this a campaign name here I like to name it you know my initials and then I might say USA and then whatever the app or game name is lets call this lets just call it game one and then I like to put the month there so this is telling me a lot of things and telling me whos buying and like if you have multiple ad bars it shows you that it shows you what country were targeting like like I said wed make a new campaign per country it shows you what the game title is and then it shows you what month it is so you can compare your results now the second thing is the campaign objectives you have to push app installs and then I just put a 1 and a 1 in these it doesnt do anything it just creates them so its a little easier then once I hit create Im gonna immediately get rid of all these other campaigns so Im gonna have this selected with this checkbox here and then go to the ad set level so theres a campaign level where we just created the campaign and then theres an ad set level where we do all the targeting and then theres an ads level so lets go to the ad sets level there should only be this campaign with the 1 in here now this is very important this is part of this success we have is we know how to correctly set up our ad campaigns so first things first is the placements a lot of people air here and do automatic placements I say edit placements only I remove Instagram and thats totally fine if you want to use Instagram well go into that a little bit later but this is just to start to make sure that everythings set up perfectly and then I open up face and I make it so its only checked the news feeds why do we only target the news feeds because thats where the most users are and we the best results there and later you can set up other campaigns that are going towards interesting articles that you want to test that suggest articles if you want to test that but we find the best results in the news feed and then same with Instagram later on if you want to if you have a target demographic thats skewed a little younger then you can do this exact process Im showing you but then just click news feed but the the point is everything throughout this article and all this training were trying to isolate isolate things so right here we know ok this is only targeting Facebook newsfeed so we know if this campaign does really well then its we should use news feed over Instagram now we can set up a new campaign thats only targeting Instagram and then if you isolate everything youll just learn so much more so much quicker and youll get better results so for now were only going to target Facebook newsfeed deselect everything else and boom so Facebook newsfeed is the only one selected and then you want to choose your app of course and I will just use this app here and then you want to figure out what your minimum OS version is so this is an iOS app everything is the same for Android you would just pick the Android drop down here in the App Store this app doesnt have Android I could show you on a different app probably as you can see you can just pick Google Play so everything holds the same so Im just going to keep it at iTunes right there and one thing to note is when you change your application youre gonna have to go back to your placements and edit them again remember we only want to target Facebook newsfeed so Facebooks always pushing you to target everything and thats because theyll make more money that way but we found that the newsfeed is the best so just double check that at the end and then you want to figure out your minimum OS version on Apple its really easy to find you just go to the App Store with this with your app here you scroll down and it says version it says compatibility requires 7.0 or later so in this case you know you could check on Android as well but Im gonna pick 7.0 because I know its 7.0 or later now you can also choose your eye if you want I phone iPad or iPods what I typically do is Ill maybe run one ad with iPhone I all these but then I might also break them apart and just say hey Im only gonna target iPad or only gonna target iPhone and thats just like I said earlier its were isolating as many things as possible so we can see which things make the difference or our best users coming from iPad are they coming from my iPhone so lets just go ahead and do that now Im gonna make this iPad only and Im gonna write this up here so I what this is iPad and then put NF for news feed so I know that Ive had and its news feed the the the naming schemes are very important to have success in this as well simply because you want to be able to easily see hey what am i when what does this ad says do it now the daily budget I like to start it really low like lets say 2 dollars and 50 cents and this just allows us even if you want to be spending $10, 000 a day like well get that well get to those levels but this allows us to mass test so we just put a really low budgets like 2 3 4 or 5 bucks and then we can quickly see if it works or not scheduled start thats fine custom audience now you want to go ahead and pick your demographic and were gonna get more into this how to find your perfect audience in the next article but go ahead and you know your app you know what users are in it so go ahead and try to pick that audience that you want I know this is a casino app so I know its women 35 plus but go ahead and do the best you can for this and well get into this deeper in the next article about audiences and then I always like to start with the United States so Im gonna go up here and Im gonna say US and women 35 plus now remember this is very important part of the naming schemes up here so you just want it doesnt matter how you put it but put it in a way that you read it right so I can easily look at this and see oh this ad set is targeting US women 35 plus iPad newsfeed right so now the next part is just keep scrolling down and you want to put in your targeting so you know just use the best your knowledge for this again were gonna be actually setting up the actual audiences in the next article but I want to show you how to set your first ad set so we can do everything else wrap more rapidly so Im gonna put casino in there put in whatever it may be meditation or golf or whatever it is and then automatic this is all set up already app installs one day after clicking and automatic thats what I use every time so other than that you have your name in here and you want to grab your interest and also put that interest up here so you know what your target who youre targeting so I can see okay its us 135 plus iPads in the newsfeed and casino now we want to go ahead up instead of our ads so if you go to the ads tab over here you can select here and then you want to go ahead and your app should already be selected and it shows this icon but its always gonna show your app icon so the page doesnt really matter too much you can go ahead and pick your actual apps page if you like but this is the important part we want to use articles so I know theres a article about making articles that I have somewhere in this training definitely watch that because you want to use the articles so I have this article right here that were gonna use its just a funny article of somebody playing our game and then you want to put a nice headline something that like you know connects with them and then same with the text you want to draw some emotion out of them somehow so maybe say something like you know try to try to draw some emotion and then try to get them to comment and well go dive deeper into the actual copyright and all this later but you know I like to say its things like dont you love the feeling of name a jackpot and then comment Ill do comment yes if you want to win so what this is doing is it makes them think and answer a question and then it makes them comment if if they do feel that way now not everybody is going to comment but a select few are going to comment and thats big because it makes you add more viral then you want to put a call-to-action button so whether its Install Now for your app or if its a gameplay game you can test both of those but I think for the most part it will be installed now we find that works pretty well and then lets see here you can see the ad comes up as you can see the icon of your actual app that youre promoting shows even though a page is here and well get into that later but just go ahead and make sure your app is selected and then boom youre pretty much done so Im gonna name this ad something I know so this was like an ad of sweater so Im gonna name it that because that just reminds me in my head so whatever you want to name your ad name that youre reminded and then were going to go back to the ad set level and were gonna put that at the end so now my ad set shows all of these things shows hey this is the US its going to women 35 plus its going to hype ads only its going to newsfeed only then this casino only and its the sweater article so Im gonna then no Im pretty much done with this at right so now its all set up and I might just go ahead and duplicate this ad because I also want to target iPhone so were gonna keep going speeding through this you can always rewind this if needed but now Im gonna flick take an iPhone iPhone all and ima delete iPad and you can see Ill just change the name up there and then Im gonna do one more because Im just gonna target all of them because you never know with Facebook Ads whats gonna work and thats exactly why we do these low budgets because you know its only 2 bucks you know and you can catch to see if hey if that works really well or not so this one should be iPhones iPads and iPods I put all up there and that ones iPhones now what else can you do oh you know what I know that females are females 35-plus are really good for our app but so are males 35 plus so Im gonna duplicate these and now just like that I have six ads all going to casino users but theyre all different you know now Im gonna scroll down and click men so these are all going to target towards men and I can click Edit up here find and replace and where that W is that women 35 plus Im gonna change it to mint 35 plus and just like that I created six ads and theyre all different theyre all targeting different things Im gonna find and replace one more time just to remove the – coffee and then boom and then rename so now I have six ads and from here on were gonna be using a lot of ads show because since we set up our first campaign and have everything set up naming schemes wise were able to use add show to really do what we just did and what was that 10 or 15 minutes we can do that in like two seconds and we can do that every single day testing all different interests different look-alikes different articles different titles different headlines different age group theres different genders so its what we just did you know extrapolate that out – doing that for 810 hours and then we can do that every single day on autopilot now that weve already set this up every once in a while well have to jump back into power editor and create a new campaign I like to create a new campaign for each country so you know this is one campaign u.s. but I would make another campaign for Australia or another campaign for New Zealand or another campaign for United Kingdom or Canada so those are my five countries that I like to use United States Canada Australia New Zealand and what was that United Kingdom so five of them there that I like to use to start and you can also target any other country as well but this is how you set up your first campaign just go ahead and click you changes as you can see the campaign name is my initials USA the game name I can go ahead and change that now actually and then click July and then hit apply and then it uploads the ads and now that you know the fundamentals of app install ads and all the things I look out for go ahead and watch this article again to make sure that each thing you know it is checked and Ill go ahead and see you next article Ill try to put some notes below maybe like a checklist that you can see but other than that hope you have a great day and Ill catch you in the next article all right so for this next section of the training we want to talk about interest and how to find your initial interest and your demographics as you can see we just have six ads here but imagine how many ads we could do if we knew okay one pocket of users is men while another pocket of users is women and then another pocket of users is women 65 plus while women 55 to 64 is another pocket and another pocket is women 45 to 54 or men 25 to the 34 so you get all these pockets and then you multiply that by all the different interests as you can see this is one interest and six ads I could probably make more ads off this but the thing were trying to do is isolate everything as much as possible so we can really get down to detail and figure out where the best app installs are coming from so six from one interest and I want to show you how to find a ton of interest that are gonna help you out with this process and allow you to make pretty much unlimited ads and the more ads you can make essentially is the more shots you can take and the more shots you take the more winners youre gonna find and what is a winter winner that depends on you so if what is your lifetime value or its hard to know your exact lifetime value but if you put you know ten users in there how many how much money do you make or a thousand users how much money do you make then divide that by how many users you make 10, 000 bucks divided by a thousand users that means your your kind of relative lifetime value is around ten dollars so anything under and those you can buy you can pay per install so you have to figure out what how much do you want to pay per install whats your optimal CPI and once you know your optimal CPI then everything is gonna be very very easy so first things first we want to go into audience insights and if you know your interest already then you might have an easier time with this at least you know your app so lets go ahead and start with just like a golf app go ahead and type in golf into the interest part and then we can see a lot of things here Im actually gonna bring up a little note sheet so I can write some notes while were doing this make this a little smaller and we can kind of infer a lot of things from this information so we type in golf and we can clearly see okay golf is forty forty-one percent women and 59 percent men so mostly men and then if we go to page likes here were gonna get a ton of different interests that are similar to golf now golf in general might just be too big but if I typed in golf course maybe maybe something else would come up and there we go so now all of these interests here are similar and they could be used to target your demographics so lets just go ahead and write these down golf channel Callaway golf and so on so you can write all these down then down here look at the affinity score if its a hundred and twenty six X that means that people who are who like Callaway golf also like the golf course its extremely likely and then same with Titleist TaylorMade Golf Channel and so on so if I go back to demographics here you can see that its still fifty-one percent women forty-nine percent men but it looks like people 18 to 24 are not interested in so we can just remove that so we can go age 24 to any and boom and then go back to page and I want to show you what were gonna do with all these interests now that were coming up with because these are extremely powerful so youre gonna want to jump into a drill and instead of writing them on the pad this is so much easier this way Im gonna make this a little smaller here so we can see both on the same screen and lets see if we can do that you make this a bit smaller as well and were gonna go to the audience section and go into interest and what were gonna do here as you can see you can store all your interests here so were gonna find your best interest and put them directly in the ad show because then this whole process of making six ads times one interest times one interest or six more ads times you know its hundreds and hundreds of ads its going to be pretty much automated so first thing that Im going to do is Im going to grab Golf Channel because I see this is a TV channel thats similar to my audience right so you just throw it in there should come up right here and you just click that okay now lets go to Callaway golf and what were doing is were just adding them here as you can see theyre down there and theyre being added to add show and then its just gonna make everything so much easier forever TaylorMade Golf copy in here and you really want to find as many different interests as possible and the reason being is because the more interest you have the more the more ads you can make so masters tournament and now not all of these are going to come up and one quick way to do this is you can just test here if it comes up there on the side over here then its going to come up on add show that just means that we can target it some things just are not targetable simply because facebook doesnt let you target it and then this is where the real power is down here the affinity scores because it pretty much tells you like I said Callaway golf other things goes 124 X anything over like 30 X is really good so Rory copy that and now were just building out our list and my challenge to you is get like 50 interests here you know minimum Ill do this for you know an hour and just find so many different interests and what you can start doing is if youre running out of interest down here you know go through all your affinities theres a huge list of them and anything that makes sense anything you can think of saying hey people who like this might also like you know my app then you can start putting them in here and changing it up you know Ive put Masters Tournament over here a tad joke Im gonna also put it here in the interest and Ill delete the initial Golf Course now its like more of a niche type look it is you know only people who like masters tournament or TaylorMade so thats more niche right so you can see Golf Digest these are all very high level but what this is leading us to is after we get these high level interests in here then we can test forever but whats even more important is these high level interests they drop down and they get people into our app and from there we start making look-alike audiences and look-alike audiences are so powerful youre gonna be learning a lot about that later on here but look at this 626 X golf wow this is an amazing niche I rarely ever see if any of these scores at that high and this goes for any niche and just go ahead and try to put a hundred different interests into ad Joe and you should be on your way so go ahead and click plus and it once you get a 150 to 100 in here then were gonna be able to make unlimited ads so thats how you do it and you can you can just keep finding more and more interest by switching up whats in here you know maybe now Im gonna put Rory in here and see put that and the page likes are gonna change a bit and its just gonna be more interest for you oh my god 1000 Xfinity so theres a ton of different interest I can see right here put all those interests in the add chill and youre gonna have unlimited ads to make now let me go over you know quickly this works for any different niche so if I were to type in like meditation right meditation so you add a meditation up you just type meditation I would reset this age here to everybody so I can kind of see now it looks like its 80 women okay since its that much women like it Im just going to target women only and then I can see okay clearly its the only 10 are under 24 and only 10 are over 65 so its telling me right here women between 25 is 64 so you can really do this for any niche here and Im gonna show you even more what is to find a second let me go ahead and do this really quickly 25 to 34 you go to page likes here and then boom its gonna show you a ton of different page likes that are similar so you could type in all of these into you know Nick and if you ever needed like check to see if it actually fits just open up the page you know so manifesting your greatest self hippie peace freaks so these are all really good interests to target and then all you do is you add them in the add show so you have them forever and Ill show you later how to add these two folders so that they dont get mixed up like if you have a golf app plus a meditation app you can have them in different folders and this is whats gonna allow you to make so many ads and test so many things and make your ads better than anybody elses then you scroll down and you can see okay actually black guru copy her name in here and you can literally do the same thing but the goal is to get fifty to a hundred interest in to add chill and then youll be able to follow this whole process over and over again and remember you can always just put a new interest here if you want to see some new suggested page likes now I want to show you two more ways really quickly how to find more interest so if you have some way to get figure out who likes your app as you go here like if we type in meditation meditation I can see whats gonna go maybe Ill go to meditation quotes or you go to another app or a page or whatever I just want to find show you how to find people whos like your niche and then how you can find even more interest so we can go down here and so be humble for you are made of earth so this would probably fit pretty well in the meditation segment and you can see look at this is this Shannon this is Christopher Romo so there theres a ton of people here who have shared this page so Im just going to open their page up their actual Facebook page and Im going to do that a few times for a different pages so if I go to meditation again and it tastes Ill just techniques theyll probably be a good one and what Im doing is Im kind of stalking these people to see what they like whos sharing it because the people who share it they really like it right and I already know its mostly women so Im just arguing with women and I can open a bunch of these up and this works for any niche any app you just kind of go find other pages or apps or whatever on Facebook see whos shared their comment or commented on their comment or like their comment because you are their posts because you know that theyre interested in whether this is golf techniques or meditation techniques or you know the best slot game or candy crush unlimited you can just stop their page to find different likes then you just go over to more and then likes some of them wont have likes thats fine theres unlimited of these so you can just keep going through and this one right here likes opening her up and then this one has likes as well so you open them up like this likes and so lets go back to this first one here you can see all these views likes here like practical herbalists boom that could be a really great one if it comes up you know not all of them are going to come up on there but what you can do is you can drag these over back to your audience insights and put them in here and you just have more and more interests and you can also put these interests right into add show and well be able to target them later now you want to look to make sure that they have a good amount of likes you know the things that are only liked by a thousand people arent going to come up on the interest but essential oils company 13, 000 and you can just get unlimited interest out of here so is a health and fitness lady this could be good for the meditation and you can just get unlimited interest by people looking at peoples page likes and then you take these likes and you either put them directly on ad show so we can start targeting or you can put them back in the audience insights here and you can get even more targeted interests looking at the affinity scores so thats the process of finding really good interests through audience insights and then also kind of stocking your the people who either like an app like yours or a page like yours or the last second the last way is you know we have a tracking of people who actually play our games so we just have a list here and we can open them up and just like I just showed you Im gonna be able to see so many interests right I can open her page up see what her likes are she doesnt have any she has some likes and I can quickly see oh you know I should be targeting game points Lots because we have a slot machine game or my Vegas slots and so on and so on so thats a really good way to find like unlimited interest and guys the key here is to find so many interest that this list is so long that every single day you can launch new ads with that show because the more ads you launch the more winners youre gonna find and this process might you know you might be thinking hey I dont want that many ads but dont worry because in my mind only 20 8020 rule 20 of the ads are gonna continue running after one day while the other 80 were just going to turn off and thats exactly why we only do $2 $0.50 or $2 ad sets is so we can run as many as possible at the same time collecting as much data as possible and youre gonna just have the best campaigns ever now the last way to find more interest is simply on power editor if you go ahead and lets just pick one of these interests that I had here lets say Golf Channel Ive already put it in the add show so it its all good we can use it later but if I were to type it in here to the interest on power editor I can type in Golf Channel and look at this see maybe thats not big enough lets just putting and what usually happens is you know power editor is pretty buggy sometimes but there we go look at that I have golf and now it suggests his golf channel it says PGA Tour golf course golf club so I would just simply put these in like golf club right I would put all of these suggestions because this is Facebook saying hey look out for this one put that into your you know make sure to test that one out or Golf Digest maybe make sure to test that one that one out like they know whats going on they they know how their audience responds so theyre just giving you even more ideas here so fifty to a hundred interest based off all of these its pretty easy and then you can type in other ones so I would list all of these in the ad show just so you have them and then I would go through and you know maybe this time I put in Masters Tournament instead see one thing and its just unlimited interest you sometimes have to close out and come back in but the more interest the better because that means the more shots you can take so tireless Callaway you can put this all into add show and once theyre all in the add show were gonna have so many interests that we can test and massively test things so thats about it theres three ways to really find interest you know audience insights is the first place I go and then Ill go kind of stock what my current users are using or liking and sharing commenting on and then Ill throw that back in to audience insights as well see if theres any more here at the same time Im always putting more and more interest in the ad show and then the last thing I check is just what is Facebook suggestive you know I have a list of a hundred different interests here I can put them all in individually and see if theres any other interests that theyre suggesting so thats the process for finding a ton of interest really quickly and you know even if this does take a little bit longer of time now Im gonna have a hundred 200 different interests inside an ad show that I can use for the next year two years whatever theyre always gonna be there and its gonna make it really easy to make ads really quickly in the next articles were gonna go over kind of how to launch ads with AD chill and do some more things and then later down the line is going to be talking about look-alikes look-alikes are very very powerful and I actually tend to use them you know equally or more than I use interests so the first step is always building your your profile of interest and then later on going into look-alikes one last thing I wanted to mention is make sure that youre always targeting a age group and gender dont just do like all 18 A because youll end up just getting the cheapest traffic you want to always be targeting the exact age groups you want and I like to target you know probably like 20 years at a time so maybe Ill do women 40 through 65 and then women 65 plus or women 35 and over but we like to keep these nice big audiences when possible so other do daily with AD show first off you pick your account you want to use up here just pick that account right there and this is your actual Facebook ad account you want to use right so I can close that and then on the main page you know this is for apps so make sure that you have the apps button clicked up here it defaults it app so if youve already done that thats great and then one of the main things are the first things I do is Ill go find a campaign of mine and lets go ahead and scroll down here have this campaign running and I might select like multiple campaigns as you can see you know all the green ones mean theyre on the red ones mean theyre off I could select all three at the same time and do this all at once which is really nice but Im gonna show you how to do this just based off of one for now but keep in mind you can do this multiple campaigns at once and the first thing I like to do every morning and the Im trying to just give you tips about what you can do daily with agile and how to get the most out of it but the first thing I like to do is I go to my costs limit and thats essentially would what is the CPI well I want to get in this case what what is that CPI and lets say I want to dollar CPI or you can put 150 or you know one dollar or whatever your limit CPI is you put it in here I move with two dollars cuz I know thats hours you can also do have it do all this off purchases but were going to use installs for now so two dollars CPI and then you have to make sure to make ad a time range not like to use last seven days and then the first thing Im gonna do is say pretty much hey Id show I want to see every ad set that is over my limit because I want to see whats going on with it so I just click show above show above limit and its in parenthesis active and it should just take a couple seconds here and it should output them all so you can see all of these like this is 14 different ads that set up probably yesterday using an ad showing and theyre all above my limit meaning that they got you know they spent at least two dollars and they didnt gain installs or they you know is there were too expensive like this ones two dollars and fifty four cents per install thats over my limit this ones 271 which is over my limit and thats expected this whole process is takes so many shots that you know 80 fail and then we just turn them off you can click turn off right here and it just automatically turns all of them off if I deselect all I can select these like you know maybe because hey this ones you know two dollars and fifty four cents but you know I see a couple purchasers purchases came through so Im looking at mobile app purchases you know there isnt any in this example but if there were I could deselect it just like this like I could deselect these three and then turn off all the rest so I just click turn off and it would automatically turn those off really quickly so you dont have to waste your time going campaign to campaign to campaign or account to account and it makes it really easy now let me go ahead and actually turn those off Im gonna keep those three on turn off so boom I just you know killed everything that was not successful now lets look at the ones under two dollars because I know anything – these are like hyper targeted for us right now but anything under tuned to dollars is its pretty good for us let me click show under no I know a lot of examples will be like we want to be under sixty cents thats fine Ive showed up some things that are pretty intense here Ill talk about later but it allows us to spend a little more but now look I click two dollars last seven days and then now I want to see show underactive and I can see here all these are under it shows me my CPI my cost per purchase then stalls are sent and then this is what I like to do every single day is you know you can hit you can have most like however you want to look them it doesnt matter but the main part here is okay these are technically my winners I know theyre winning because theyre under my you know $2 rape or if youre dog heres a dollar rate or fifty cents rate whatever is there under my dollar rate so I can also you over here my daily budget I want to scale these this ones at five dollars Im gonna turn it to 11 and look at this one down here two dollars and 23 cents its under my rate so Im just gonna increase this to eleven dollars and thats what I was saying is even though we start small you know we can raise these bids really eat or budgets really easily and rapidly growing so 11.2 dollars to eleven dollars five dollars fifteen dollars and some people say hey dont raise your budgets too high but it doesnt matter to us simply because worse were sending new ads every single day that if these ads cant grow with us then we dont really want them around because our goal is not to be spending two dollars and fifty cents our goal is to be spending a lot of money driving them stalls that are profitable right so thats why your costs women is so its so important to keep in mind because now when you click show under it shows everything under that cost limit and you can absolutely kill it because you can scale so easily eleven Ive even turned that eleven dollar one into thirty three just like that right so boom I just did that for all of them now if you dont want to do them all separately you can have select all selected and then just say hey I want to increase all of these by twenty percent right here and then you would just click this scale button or I want to increase the all by $10 and you can click scale so you can see that becomes really easy as we get deeper in this process and theres a ton of winners and you want to save some time now what else would I do every single day so theres a couple things every day I believe in promoting as many ads as possible like you saw in the first day now Im gonna select you know a couple of these maybe this one and this one Ill look at what what look likes theyre targeted so I can see this its hard even that look like this Sargam that look alike and then Im gonna create new ads you know you can pick a bunch of new articles out of your article list I can pick all of these articles here because I know all of these are are winning articles and boom I have twelve or sixteen ad sets eighteen ad sets twenty ad sets and theres growing right its twelve times two I have 24 ads I can make right and then since its 24 of them I want to do six every mmm 12 hours so its its twelve to add today and that should go for two days right now I can pick more articles I have tons of articles and and thats why I suggest always make as many articles as possible and I could set those all up to launch and I just click schedule now now one thing Id like to show you is the budget area you can make this 250 or whatever you can change this so its its you know starts the scheduling you know tomorrow and said today Ill set it up for today and if you have multiple campaigns you just click per campaign Im only working with one campaign now so Im not gonna do that but then you can do the same thing for different audiences you have all these different look-alikes right and youll learn how to make more look-alikes later in this course you can do it with different images I always suggest articles you can do with all your interest users made you made a ton of interest and so I have 12 articles selected now I can select all of these interests I just made now I have 11 of those and twelve articles so 11 times 12 times 2 is a lot 264 and growing it and I could schedule these every six every 12 hours so they dont get you know stuck on top of each other and then if you want the to not use very many little life if you dont want them to compete against each other by default this is said three but I could delete the three and it would make a lot more add sets because its pretty much saying hey if theres a bunch of audiences selected here we wont we wont work it doesnt matter how many duplicates there are but if the only wanted to compete 3 times then we did that so thats one of those daily things I do with ad shows I just make a ton of ads that way I sometimes like to make them independently so I can say 12 times my to ad says I selected here I could pick 3 Adsit so I could pick 4 3 4 5 whatever but some of them just like best practices I like to set you know no more than like 10 ads per 12 hours because then I feel like its just a ton of ads but if you do 10 ads per 12 hours they can be multiple campaigns too so if you have 10 campaigns Im okay with doing 10 ads per campaign for 12 hours so you can see how you can set up a hundred new ads just like that and just play around with this I like to set up new articles every single day and Ill just click schedule now here and itll create 36 new ads for me so ads for the next three days and then what I can do is I can come back and do the exact same process but Ill take these three ad sets maybe this one this one and this one or the same ones and then just target my new interest right because I just put them all that work finding all these interests so I have 11 interest and I have three ads and all agile is doing its going in and taking these three ads and making new ads but a new ad for this interest a new ad for this interest a new ad for this interest a new ad for this interest so it just allows you to take so many shots so easily so Im gonna go ahead and actually do this process right now but with these articles and you can do this exact process with interest – so you just learn how to get all your interest and just use this exact sis Im showing you right here you know picked your three best ones or three ones you want to create more of and I want to click more of these because I see that theyre really low CPIs so however hows this audience going to respond to my new articles I just click schedule now theyre all gonna go up for two dollars and fifty cents its gonna be scheduled six now six and twelve hours six and another twelve hours six and another 12 hours so 36 ads so thats three days of ads that I just set up by just clicking that button and boom now ad show as you can see is going to execute it down here and then you can look on your ads manager and youll see these new ads up there I always suggest after you know this runs and it loads all your ads I always suggest looking at your ads manager just a double check to make sure everythings going well and thats about it thats how you create tons of ads and I just made 36 36 of them and you know two seconds but you can imagine how you can easily make 360 of these or 500 or whatever you want to do and then you just just make your budget down here and thats why we always start with a small budget so we can do some really cool things now Im gonna go ahead and show you more of this throughout this training this was just kind of an overview of what I do daily I start off with turning off anything over my cost limit in the last seven days and then after I turn those off I go down here and I click show under active look limit so I got a scale budget show under active limit so anything thats a winner I raise the budget a little bit you know if Im getting $1.00 CPI and making three dollars per install Im gonna change that $2.00 budget to a ten dollar budget and then the next thing Im gonna turn into a thirty dollar budget and a fifty dollar budget and a hundred dollar budget and so on and so on and then once I can see all my winners and Ive already scaled them then Im gonna go create more ads so all those interests you just made you can use this to create ads for all those interests and you can do the same thing for articles if you have images you can do that as well and then later on Ill show you what the audiences and the look-alikes I really really like look-alike audiences and youre gonna learn all that in this training so I this next article were going to talk about custom audiences and look-alike audiences before talking about that let me explain what they are custom audiences are essentially saying hey Facebook go find the people who have completed this action whether that action is hey theyve downloaded my app or they even you know theyve launched my app in the last couple of days or they watched one of my facebook ad articles so were gonna make all of these custom audiences and they could be you know a hundred people that could be ten thousand people but then were gonna make look-alike audiences off them and thats where the power like thats one of the most powerful things under audiences here you can see all these look-alikes right so Im gonna show you how to make them first youll have to go into your asset library up here and its going to be under audiences in power editor and once youre there Im gonna put a list of these that you can create below but Im just gonna briefly go over some of them that you can make but the key here guys is is the same thing as with interest you want to have as many interests as possible so you can create as many ads as possible to figure out which one works the best same thing with look-alike audiences and in order to create those look-alikes you have to make a custom audience essentially Facebook what the look-alikes theyre theyre taking your custom audience and saying hey heres a million people who look just like that custom audience so you can see how powerful that is if youre doing a custom audience of you know 200 purchasers inside your app Facebook will go out and find based off their data two million people for a look-alike so let me show you how to make the custom audiences first and then on ad Joe will show you how to make the look-alikes because its kind of a pain so first custom audiences first things first I would mention all these in the in the post below but if you have an email list or multiple email lists just simply import your email list and make a custom audience off that secondly you know will pass the website traffic unless you do have a website that you can make look custom audiences off of you know whether its for your app or whatever thats another good option you can do all visitors to whatever page of your website but app activity is where were really gonna get started here so if for you you pick your game up here and you can put last I think up to 180 days I like it to be pretty long and then anyone who opened the app all you have to do is anyone who opened app and then maybe call it whatever your app name is right and Im going to show you a few of these but theres a ton and the key here is to do like 10 20 30 of these if you cant so lets go back into create audience and and it takes a while for it to populate so Im just going to keep creating more so app activity and now I can do most active users top 25 I can do 5 10 these are three different custom audiences you could make and I definitely recommend doing it because each one will be different and then you just put in the name for that name it something clear that you can see because your look like its gonna be named off after that then you can do all of these so people who have installed your app people whove launched your app people completed app sessions and then all of your events that you tagged or your developer tagged in your with the Facebook SDK you can make an event off all of these so I could say hey only people who play blackjack and then you can refine it even more by different like in the last 30 days so just play around in here and literally make as many custom audiences as you possibly can because thats going to enables us to make so many different look-alike audiences that its gonna be so powerful now I just want to quickly show you our one more thing engagement down here this is a good one articles I would do 25 50 75 95 for each article that youve ever advertised it has to do with your your app or your game or whatever it may be you just click choose articles and then call it you know 25 of article watched and I would do that 25 50 75 Id create this audience after I choose chose the article and then I would come back in do another one for 50 percent and the key here is just get as many custom audience as you possibly can obviously start with your purchasers and people whove gone like you know been in your app for a long time or are really far down you know maybe in level 10 or whatever but this is just a way to have unlimited audiences that you can always test and and like you know you know the more audiences you have the more ads you can run and the more winning ads youll find so after all of these are dealers pretend theres twenty thirty different audiences I challenge you to get you know twenty different custom audiences going there should be no problem it might take a little bit of time but ima show you something pretty cool here in a second to make it look like you usually go one you click that and then you click action to create look-alike and then you do a one percent look like for United States and then you click create audience and the cool thing about look-alikes and custom audiences they always populate so you know in ten days from now its gonna be populated with all the new people as well and then you do two percent so custom audience again you do United States and you do two percent so this ones gonna be 4.2 million and then you do three percent and I like to do at least 1 2 3 if you need extra audiences to test Ive had some really good results with four percent and 5 percent as well so I just click create audience so its kind of repetitive right and you have to start with unite or you dont have to start with United States but I like to start in the United States this ones gonna be 6.3 million but then after I do that for all United States I do the same thing for Canada because now I have audience based off of anyone who opened that thing go up in Canada – Im gonna do 1 through 3 percent for this article but I would probably do 5 percent normally Canada you can see how it kind of gets repetitive here but these are so so powerful that its so worth it Canada again but let me just quickly show you how I actually do this now because I got sick of doing this like literally youre gonna have like 300 look-alike audiences that are gonna be so powerful and really help you out but I just go over here to add show go to audiences and after the audiences are populated you might have to refresh your page or something but then you can just select all of the custom audiences you want as you can see these are shoppers inside of our games and you can see I select theres a 10 here now I can easily click United States you know United Kingdom Canada Australia and New Zealand and one through five percent and its two hundred and fifty look like audiences I just click create look-alike audience and boom it creates mobile ad chill create small itll take a few minutes of course but now you dont have to stay here going back and forth and you can use this tool in the future indefinitely so and once youre done once you click create look-alike and they populate you know it might take 20 30 minutes for Facebook to populate the audiences but once you do that youre gonna go back to your dashboard and everything you just saw in the last article about making new ads now you have all these look-alike audiences as well so its pretty cool pretend I just made these 15 look-alikes you know theres hundreds there and I can set them to any new ads that I want to set up I would just you know look at my my ads you know do the over-under the ones that are under considered winners to me and I can set them to these new audiences so really simple to do and I just wanted to show you the the best kind of route to make custom audiences and who to make them of Ill make sure theres a list of things down below but play around and hearing custom audiences because there are so many different custom audiences you can make it so many combinations of audiences that you can create pretty much unlimited look-alike audiences and that equals unlimited ads right and if you have unlimited ass lets assume that just you know 75 of them are gonna fail but youre gonna find 25 deter gonna kill it for you and they could potentially run for the next year so this is why youre gonna beat your competitors simply because youre taking more shots youre running more ads youre finding more gold nuggets and yeah thats about it so just lets go over this one time the the custom audiences I suggest to make or anything off the email list you have buyers whatever if you have a website definitely make some off website then the app activity is where it gets good because you can target any of your events that your developers set up you can target most active users of each event and so on and then the articles are very very good as well because if you have a longer article then if somebody watches you go here and say hey I only want target people that watch 75 of my article if your articles you know 2 minutes long then you know they just gave you a minute plus of your time and theyre super interested in whatever your niche might be and then you can do Facebook page I would definitely do this one as well pick all of these I mean each one of them separately of course but people who have engaged with your ads who have engaged in your page and so on and then you can even do Instagram business profiles so theres a ton of audiences you can make I challenge you to make at least 20 custom audiences and then jump over here to add show to to make all those look-alikes really quickly but other than that Im gonna catch you in the next article and I hope you have a great day bye alright so in this article I want to talk about how to write good copy or some things you can do to make sure people respond to your ads they dont just stop and look at them but they actually download your app so if you go over to this copy tab here you can click on headlines and text essentially you can add headlines and text in the add show so while youre testing all of them you know your different audiences or different articles or different interests you can also test different headlines and text so the headline is the portion right next to the button that would say install now while the text is the portion above the article that where you can kind of talk to them so lets start with the text and things I like to always include in the text is I like to pull you know these are some of the best things I use either pull in motion somehow connect you know connect with the the end user put yourself in their shoes isnt like theyre scrolling through their timeline right how do you connect with them how do you make them to think one way to make them think is asking a question do you love to meditate or even better you know are you spiritual see Im asking a question and thats forcing them to answer right and if they in the they dont have to answer it in text but its just about answers having them answer in their mind because if they answer and theyre mine thats the first step youre connecting with them so I like to do something like that you can also use kind of a FOMO type thing like a fear of missing out you know put a little urgency in there like hey today we are giving away ten dollars of three chips but its first-come first-serve so that works well right because lets say lets call it giveaway and you can see you can just add it right here and then you click Save and now its saved here forever and you can see you know what your click-through rate where you clicks where your impressions and all that and this worked well because it creates a little bit of a FOMO right now you can also be controversial I dont know what your niche is but like if theres something controversial you dont bring it up make people kind of think and what happens is theyll start commenting and anytime you get a comment thats when your ads really go viral so heres a good one heres a good example kind of using both where were trying to pull a comment out but like dont you love winning or dont you love jackpots theyre not gonna answer that right but theyre gonna think in their head like yeah that sounds great but if I put this at the bottom of the bottom comment yes if you want to win now and just name it whatever you want now every time they see this theyre gonna see oh dont you love jackpot of course yeah I love jackpots and then it says comment yes and a small portion of people are actually gonna comment yet which makes your ads go more viral youre gonna get more installs more impressions more everything because you have you know youre asking them to comment yes so those are the main things really you know pull emotion try to have some fear of missing out be controversial if needed get them to comment somehow and then just test them all separately so I can put you know my challenge to you is put ten different sets of text here and then later we can go in and easily just pick them right here as you can see and now my new ads are going to be set to them so I could select all of these ads right and then have my new text right there and I can do the exact same thing with headlines so thats why I chose the is to to allow you to mass test a lot of things without having to do all the manual labor right so a headline like call it play and then play for free you know mention that its free people love free but youll have to test this on your own what what what converts best for you and its cool because you can see here theres a cost per action a number of actions so this is how many installs that this headline drove and then it shows you the cost per and then your click-through rate and how many clicks and impressions so you youll quickly be able to see you know as you run these ads with this text or this headline youre gonna quickly be able to see oh you know what this headline or this text is getting 60 cent installs while this ones doing a dollar 20 and this headline here is doing 50 cent installs while the other ones doing dollar 50 so it clearly tells you oh I should be using this headline and said that headline and then you just really go into edge show and you say hey I want to you know I want to use this new headline I just put up and it could be like six different headlines I just added six different text and then I want to say hey I also wanted to use them against these new look-alikes I have here right so boom youre just creating ads like in no time and always remember this max look-alike duplicates you can erase this and its gonna make if youre using look-alikes then its just gonna make more ads as you can see its a hundred and twelve ads this is gonna create because I have seven audiences times two texts times one play and its pretty much gonna make those for all of these ad sets so Im gonna find the exact the winning ad set and its going to work for me forever and then all that everything else is tracked down here cost per purchase number of installs mobile purchases and so on and then you can just go ahead and click schedule now and this max duplicates thing right here you can see its a hundred and twelve combinations that thats because theres a lot of audiences kind of being duplicated now if you dont want to make that many ads you just put a number in here and say max duplicates of four right so that means that theres at the most theres only gonna be four ads with the same look like audience so you can test that out how you want to I usually dont use it sometimes I do if I want to cut back on ads because I you know 112 and I know I have a ton more that I want to run and Ill just cut back by using that you can put the budget in here you can schedule it every you know five every 24 hours or however youd like to this is always a lifesaver winner and Im headed out of town or or I just dont want to jump in Facebook ads for the next week set up ads for a week or a month or whatever the last thing I really want to show you is the breakdown section its pretty cool so I could make this cost limit a lot lower like it wasnt – and I just put it down to a dollar and essentially what if I click this button right here whats it its gonna do is its gonna find everything in this its only one campaign it could be like you know 20 campaigns but its gonna find all the mobile installs here that are under $1 but its gonna break them down by age and gender so normally I would have like a couple you know before I only had like five ad sets running but now you can see theres seventeen ad sets thats because its showing me per per age and gender so this is only female 65 plus this is females 55 to 64 this ones 45 to 54 and it can really like shed some light on which audiences are doing really well you like look at this 20 cent installs 22 in cent installs $0.22 installs and thats because theyre people 35 to 44 so it will either say male female or unknown as Facebook reports back unknown sometimes but thats fine and what happens here is boom I have 17 ad sets that I can just hit schedule now on and its gonna upload these 17 ads but in reality its that we already had these ads they were just in a much broader scope or demographic so this one ad that it output it may have been just a section of another ad well it was just a section of the other ad and usually what I would do here is inside of Facebook ads usually I would go in and see like okay this ad is performing very well but its only for women 25 34 or its males 35 to 44 but now you can just do that with a click of a button and look here so thats about it for today and let me know if you have any questions I think that weve covered mostly everything now weve gone over look alikes how to what to do every single day with AD chill you always want to be launching new ads you always want to be checking to see which ads are working which ones are not working so you just do the show above to see whats over your cost limit right in the last seven days or ever however youd like to do it and then show up of so its over my limit of two bucks I turn it off if I click and turn off now that now I click show under its under my limit of two bucks and I can scale it by either a dollar amount a percentage or I can do it individually just like that clicking these and then we went over how to take those winning ads like if these were all winning ads right here and then apply them to new audiences that you just created or your new articles you know its key to have a ton of articles to test at all times its key to always have tons of audiences different interests and you just go ahead and select those new tests you want to run and hit schedule now and you just keep doing that process even it sometimes if you feel like youve run an ad set before to the same targeting we all know Facebook is you know its kind of a black box and they dont even know whats going on so Ive had multiple times where its like okay this ad for three months was sending me 62 cent installs then all of a sudden it jumped up to $2 okay so that ad is dead so what did i do I just duplicated it and you can actually do that here on nacho but Ill get into that later I just duplicated it and it started working again and I actually duplicate a couple times and it worked on both right so theres theres some mystery to Facebook ads that I am very confident in running a lot of ads at all times because Im gonna find my winners and Im gonna find my losers and the key is to find your losers quickly before they spend a bunch of dollars you know set it 4 to 3 bucks and then the next day you can see you know its its spent a dollar 75 but my goal is a dollar 50 install and it did sending in any installs so boom Im just gonna turn it off so Im gonna put my cost limit at 150 right so its as simple as that let me know if you have any questions Ill continue to post new articles on here in this training section so we can just keep going over different things but I think I covered most of the big things theres a couple other little things that I can mention like duplicates and whatnot that you can do thousands of dollars per day like its scale so part three well go over how to grow your ad account every single day so instead of spending five dollars a day Im gonna show you how to profit Li bring that up to hundreds of day hundreds of dollars a day and Im talking put $1.00 in get three four dollars out so that would be part three and then part four were gonna talk about custom audiences and look-alike audiences theyre so so important and again 90 of marketers and app developers are doing this incorrectly if you do it my way you will see way way better results then were gonna finish it up and kind of just have a wrap-up and go over some other hidden gem secrets that youre probably not using currently with your Facebook Ads for app installs its funny because you know I work with companies that will spend a million plus per month and I look at their their their ad account and things are just totally wrong and Im just like how are you spending so much money why are you burning all this cash and then day one Ill jump jump on and run their ads for them and get like five times better results I had my buddy I started working with just this weekend I set up in a campaign for them and that first day he hits me up and he says you are literally getting six to seven times better results than we are and we just raised ten million dollars so if youre pumped to see this whole more like this and lets get into it all right let me flip my screen around and lets start the show whats going on guys so I wanted to start this training out with just going over the fundamentals of how we set up Facebook Ads for app installs and how weve been doing it for the last couple years to absolutely crush it so if you follow along this exact path of saying up your app installs youre gonna be set perfectly to really crush it with AD show so first things first we go into power editor right off the bat so up top you might be used to working in ads manager but were gonna be working in power editor now the cool thing is once you set up your first couple app install ad campaigns then ad chill will do a lot of the heavy lifting for you so you dont have to look at this user interface very much so lets go on to power editor and set up the first initial campaign for your app installs so I like to set up one campaign per country so Im gonna start with just USA and lets start with this a campaign name here I like to name it you know my initials and then I might say USA and then whatever the app or game name is lets call this lets just call it game one and then I like to put the month there so this is telling me a lot of things and telling me whos buying and like if you have multiple ad bars it shows you that it shows you what country were targeting like like I said wed make a new campaign per country it shows you what the game title is and then it shows you what month it is so you can compare your results now the second thing is the campaign objectives you have to push app installs and then I just put a 1 and a 1 in these it doesnt do anything it just creates them so its a little easier then once I hit create Im gonna immediately get rid of all these other campaigns so Im gonna have this selected with this checkbox here and then go to the ad set level so theres a campaign level where we just created the campaign and then theres an ad set level where we do all the targeting and then theres an ads level so lets go to the ad sets level there should only be this campaign with the 1 in here now this is very important this is part of this success we have is we know how to correctly set up our ad campaigns so first things first is the placements a lot of people air here and do automatic placements I say edit placements only I remove Instagram and thats totally fine if you want to use Instagram well go into that a little bit later but this is just to start to make sure that everythings set up perfectly and then I open up face and I make it so its only checked the news feeds why do we only target the news feeds because thats where the most users are and we the best results there and later you can set up other campaigns that are going towards interesting articles that you want to test that suggest articles if you want to test that but we find the best results in the news feed and then same with Instagram later on if you want to if you have a target demographic thats skewed a little younger then you can do this exact process Im showing you but then just click news feed but the the point is everything throughout this article and all this training were trying to isolate isolate things so right here we know ok this is only targeting Facebook newsfeed so we know if this campaign does really well then its we should use news feed over Instagram now we can set up a new campaign thats only targeting Instagram and then if you isolate everything youll just learn so much more so much quicker and youll get better results so for now were only going to target Facebook newsfeed deselect everything else and boom so Facebook newsfeed is the only one selected and then you want to choose your app of course and I will just use this app here and then you want to figure out what your minimum OS version is so this is an iOS app everything is the same for Android you would just pick the Android drop down here in the App Store this app doesnt have Android I could show you on a different app probably as you can see you can just pick Google Play so everything holds the same so Im just going to keep it at iTunes right there and one thing to note is when you change your application youre gonna have to go back to your placements and edit them again remember we only want to target Facebook newsfeed so Facebooks always pushing you to target everything and thats because theyll make more money that way but we found that the newsfeed is the best so just double check that at the end and then you want to figure out your minimum OS version on Apple its really easy to find you just go to the App Store with this with your app here you scroll down and it says version it says compatibility requires 7.0 or later so in this case you know you could check on Android as well but Im gonna pick 7.0 because I know its 7.0 or later now you can also choose your eye if you want I phone iPad or iPods what I typically do is Ill maybe run one ad with iPhone I all these but then I might also break them apart and just say hey Im only gonna target iPad or only gonna target iPhone and thats just like I said earlier its were isolating as many things as possible so we can see which things make the difference or our best users coming from iPad are they coming from my iPhone so lets just go ahead and do that now Im gonna make this iPad only and Im gonna write this up here so I what this is iPad and then put NF for news feed so I know that Ive had and its news feed the the the naming schemes are very important to have success in this as well simply because you want to be able to easily see hey what am i when what does this ad says do it now the daily budget I like to start it really low like lets say 2 dollars and 50 cents and this just allows us even if you want to be spending $10, 000 a day like well get that well get to those levels but this allows us to mass test so we just put a really low budgets like 2 3 4 or 5 bucks and then we can quickly see if it works or not scheduled start thats fine custom audience now you want to go ahead and pick your demographic and were gonna get more into this how to find your perfect audience in the next article but go ahead and you know your app you know what users are in it so go ahead and try to pick that audience that you want I know this is a casino app so I know its women 35 plus but go ahead and do the best you can for this and well get into this deeper in the next article about audiences and then I always like to start with the United States so Im gonna go up here and Im gonna say US and women 35 plus now remember this is very important part of the naming schemes up here so you just want it doesnt matter how you put it but put it in a way that you read it right so I can easily look at this and see oh this ad set is targeting US women 35 plus iPad newsfeed right so now the next part is just keep scrolling down and you want to put in your targeting so you know just use the best your knowledge for this again were gonna be actually setting up the actual audiences in the next article but I want to show you how to set your first ad set so we can do everything else wrap more rapidly so Im gonna put casino in there put in whatever it may be meditation or golf or whatever it is and then automatic this is all set up already app installs one day after clicking and automatic thats what I use every time so other than that you have your name in here and you want to grab your interest and also put that interest up here so you know what your target who youre targeting so I can see okay its us 135 plus iPads in the newsfeed and casino now we want to go ahead up instead of our ads so if you go to the ads tab over here you can select here and then you want to go ahead and your app should already be selected and it shows this icon but its always gonna show your app icon so the page doesnt really matter too much you can go ahead and pick your actual apps page if you like but this is the important part we want to use articles so I know theres a article about making articles that I have somewhere in this training definitely watch that because you want to use the articles so I have this article right here that were gonna use its just a funny article of somebody playing our game and then you want to put a nice headline something that like you know connects with them and then same with the text you want to draw some emotion out of them somehow so maybe say something like you know try to try to draw some emotion and then try to get them to comment and well go dive deeper into the actual copyright and all this later but you know I like to say its things like dont you love the feeling of name a jackpot and then comment Ill do comment yes if you want to win so what this is doing is it makes them think and answer a question and then it makes them comment if if they do feel that way now not everybody is going to comment but a select few are going to comment and thats big because it makes you add more viral then you want to put a call-to-action button so whether its Install Now for your app or if its a gameplay game you can test both of those but I think for the most part it will be installed now we find that works pretty well and then lets see here you can see the ad comes up as you can see the icon of your actual app that youre promoting shows even though a page is here and well get into that later but just go ahead and make sure your app is selected and then boom youre pretty much done so Im gonna name this ad something I know so this was like an ad of sweater so Im gonna name it that because that just reminds me in my head so whatever you want to name your ad name that youre reminded and then were going to go back to the ad set level and were gonna put that at the end so now my ad set shows all of these things shows hey this is the US its going to women 35 plus its going to hype ads only its going to newsfeed only then this casino only and its the sweater article so Im gonna then no Im pretty much done with this at right so now its all set up and I might just go ahead and duplicate this ad because I also want to target iPhone so were gonna keep going speeding through this you can always rewind this if needed but now Im gonna flick take an iPhone iPhone all and ima delete iPad and you can see Ill just change the name up there and then Im gonna do one more because Im just gonna target all of them because you never know with Facebook Ads whats gonna work and thats exactly why we do these low budgets because you know its only 2 bucks you know and you can catch to see if hey if that works really well or not so this one should be iPhones iPads and iPods I put all up there and that ones iPhones now what else can you do oh you know what I know that females are females 35-plus are really good for our app but so are males 35 plus so Im gonna duplicate these and now just like that I have six ads all going to casino users but theyre all different you know now Im gonna scroll down and click men so these are all going to target towards men and I can click Edit up here find and replace and where that W is that women 35 plus Im gonna change it to mint 35 plus and just like that I created six ads and theyre all different theyre all targeting different things Im gonna find and replace one more time just to remove the – coffee and then boom and then rename so now I have six ads and from here on were gonna be using a lot of ads show because since we set up our first campaign and have everything set up naming schemes wise were able to use add show to really do what we just did and what was that 10 or 15 minutes we can do that in like two seconds and we can do that every single day testing all different interests different look-alikes different articles different titles different headlines different age group theres different genders so its what we just did you know extrapolate that out – doing that for 810 hours and then we can do that every single day on autopilot now that weve already set this up every once in a while well have to jump back into power editor and create a new campaign I like to create a new campaign for each country so you know this is one campaign u.s. but I would make another campaign for Australia or another campaign for New Zealand or another campaign for United Kingdom or Canada so those are my five countries that I like to use United States Canada Australia New Zealand and what was that United Kingdom so five of them there that I like to use to start and you can also target any other country as well but this is how you set up your first campaign just go ahead and click you changes as you can see the campaign name is my initials USA the game name I can go ahead and change that now actually and then click July and then hit apply and then it uploads the ads and now that you know the fundamentals of app install ads and all the things I look out for go ahead and watch this article again to make sure that each thing you know it is checked and Ill go ahead and see you next article Ill try to put some notes below maybe like a checklist that you can see but other than that hope you have a great day and Ill catch you in the next article all right so for this next section of the training we want to talk about interest and how to find your initial interest and your demographics as you can see we just have six ads here but imagine how many ads we could do if we knew okay one pocket of users is men while another pocket of users is women and then another pocket of users is women 65 plus while women 55 to 64 is another pocket and another pocket is women 45 to 54 or men 25 to the 34 so you get all these pockets and then you multiply that by all the different interests as you can see this is one interest and six ads I could probably make more ads off this but the thing were trying to do is isolate everything as much as possible so we can really get down to detail and figure out where the best app installs are coming from so six from one interest and I want to show you how to find a ton of interest that are gonna help you out with this process and allow you to make pretty much unlimited ads and the more ads you can make essentially is the more shots you can take and the more shots you take the more winners youre gonna find and what is a winter winner that depends on you so if what is your lifetime value or its hard to know your exact lifetime value but if you put you know ten users in there how many how much money do you make or a thousand users how much money do you make then divide that by how many users you make 10, 000 bucks divided by a thousand users that means your your kind of relative lifetime value is around ten dollars so anything under and those you can buy you can pay per install so you have to figure out what how much do you want to pay per install whats your optimal CPI and once you know your optimal CPI then everything is gonna be very very easy so first things first we want to go into audience insights and if you know your interest already then you might have an easier time with this at least you know your app so lets go ahead and start with just like a golf app go ahead and type in golf into the interest part and then we can see a lot of things here Im actually gonna bring up a little note sheet so I can write some notes while were doing this make this a little smaller and we can kind of infer a lot of things from this information so we type in golf and we can clearly see okay golf is forty forty-one percent women and 59 percent men so mostly men and then if we go to page likes here were gonna get a ton of different interests that are similar to golf now golf in general might just be too big but if I typed in golf course maybe maybe something else would come up and there we go so now all of these interests here are similar and they could be used to target your demographics so lets just go ahead and write these down golf channel Callaway golf and so on so you can write all these down then down here look at the affinity score if its a hundred and twenty six X that means that people who are who like Callaway golf also like the golf course its extremely likely and then same with Titleist TaylorMade Golf Channel and so on so if I go back to demographics here you can see that its still fifty-one percent women forty-nine percent men but it looks like people 18 to 24 are not interested in so we can just remove that so we can go age 24 to any and boom and then go back to page and I want to show you what were gonna do with all these interests now that were coming up with because these are extremely powerful so youre gonna want to jump into a drill and instead of writing them on the pad this is so much easier this way Im gonna make this a little smaller here so we can see both on the same screen and lets see if we can do that you make this a bit smaller as well and were gonna go to the audience section and go into interest and what were gonna do here as you can see you can store all your interests here so were gonna find your best interest and put them directly in the ad show because then this whole process of making six ads times one interest times one interest or six more ads times you know its hundreds and hundreds of ads its going to be pretty much automated so first thing that Im going to do is Im going to grab Golf Channel because I see this is a TV channel thats similar to my audience right so you just throw it in there should come up right here and you just click that okay now lets go to Callaway golf and what were doing is were just adding them here as you can see theyre down there and theyre being added to add show and then its just gonna make everything so much easier forever TaylorMade Golf copy in here and you really want to find as many different interests as possible and the reason being is because the more interest you have the more the more ads you can make so masters tournament and now not all of these are going to come up and one quick way to do this is you can just test here if it comes up there on the side over here then its going to come up on add show that just means that we can target it some things just are not targetable simply because facebook doesnt let you target it and then this is where the real power is down here the affinity scores because it pretty much tells you like I said Callaway golf other things goes 124 X anything over like 30 X is really good so Rory copy that and now were just building out our list and my challenge to you is get like 50 interests here you know minimum Ill do this for you know an hour and just find so many different interests and what you can start doing is if youre running out of interest down here you know go through all your affinities theres a huge list of them and anything that makes sense anything you can think of saying hey people who like this might also like you know my app then you can start putting them in here and changing it up you know Ive put Masters Tournament over here a tad joke Im gonna also put it here in the interest and Ill delete the initial Golf Course now its like more of a niche type look it is you know only people who like masters tournament or TaylorMade so thats more niche right so you can see Golf Digest these are all very high level but what this is leading us to is after we get these high level interests in here then we can test forever but whats even more important is these high level interests they drop down and they get people into our app and from there we start making look-alike audiences and look-alike audiences are so powerful youre gonna be learning a lot about that later on here but look at this 626 X golf wow this is an amazing niche I rarely ever see if any of these scores at that high and this goes for any niche and just go ahead and try to put a hundred different interests into ad Joe and you should be on your way so go ahead and click plus and it once you get a 150 to 100 in here then were gonna be able to make unlimited ads so thats how you do it and you can you can just keep finding more and more interest by switching up whats in here you know maybe now Im gonna put Rory in here and see put that and the page likes are gonna change a bit and its just gonna be more interest for you oh my god 1000 Xfinity so theres a ton of different interest I can see right here put all those interests in the add chill and youre gonna have unlimited ads to make now let me go over you know quickly this works for any different niche so if I were to type in like meditation right meditation so you add a meditation up you just type meditation I would reset this age here to everybody so I can kind of see now it looks like its 80 women okay since its that much women like it Im just going to target women only and then I can see okay clearly its the only 10 are under 24 and only 10 are over 65 so its telling me right here women between 25 is 64 so you can really do this for any niche here and Im gonna show you even more what is to find a second let me go ahead and do this really quickly 25 to 34 you go to page likes here and then boom its gonna show you a ton of different page likes that are similar so you could type in all of these into you know Nick and if you ever needed like check to see if it actually fits just open up the page you know so manifesting your greatest self hippie peace freaks so these are all really good interests to target and then all you do is you add them in the add show so you have them forever and Ill show you later how to add these two folders so that they dont get mixed up like if you have a golf app plus a meditation app you can have them in different folders and this is whats gonna allow you to make so many ads and test so many things and make your ads better than anybody elses then you scroll down and you can see okay actually black guru copy her name in here and you can literally do the same thing but the goal is to get fifty to a hundred interest in to add chill and then youll be able to follow this whole process over and over again and remember you can always just put a new interest here if you want to see some new suggested page likes now I want to show you two more ways really quickly how to find more interest so if you have some way to get figure out who likes your app as you go here like if we type in meditation meditation I can see whats gonna go maybe Ill go to meditation quotes or you go to another app or a page or whatever I just want to find show you how to find people whos like your niche and then how you can find even more interest so we can go down here and so be humble for you are made of earth so this would probably fit pretty well in the meditation segment and you can see look at this is this Shannon this is Christopher Romo so there theres a ton of people here who have shared this page so Im just going to open their page up their actual Facebook page and Im going to do that a few times for a different pages so if I go to meditation again and it tastes Ill just techniques theyll probably be a good one and what Im doing is Im kind of stalking these people to see what they like whos sharing it because the people who share it they really like it right and I already know its mostly women so Im just arguing with women and I can open a bunch of these up and this works for any niche any app you just kind of go find other pages or apps or whatever on Facebook see whos shared their comment or commented on their comment or like their comment because you are their posts because you know that theyre interested in whether this is golf techniques or meditation techniques or you know the best slot game or candy crush unlimited you can just stop their page to find different likes then you just go over to more and then likes some of them wont have likes thats fine theres unlimited of these so you can just keep going through and this one right here likes opening her up and then this one has likes as well so you open them up like this likes and so lets go back to this first one here you can see all these views likes here like practical herbalists boom that could be a really great one if it comes up you know not all of them are going to come up on there but what you can do is you can drag these over back to your audience insights and put them in here and you just have more and more interests and you can also put these interests right into add show and well be able to target them later now you want to look to make sure that they have a good amount of likes you know the things that are only liked by a thousand people arent going to come up on the interest but essential oils company 13, 000 and you can just get unlimited interest out of here so is a health and fitness lady this could be good for the meditation and you can just get unlimited interest by people looking at peoples page likes and then you take these likes and you either put them directly on ad show so we can start targeting or you can put them back in the audience insights here and you can get even more targeted interests looking at the affinity scores so thats the process of finding really good interests through audience insights and then also kind of stocking your the people who either like an app like yours or a page like yours or the last second the last way is you know we have a tracking of people who actually play our games so we just have a list here and we can open them up and just like I just showed you Im gonna be able to see so many interests right I can open her page up see what her likes are she doesnt have any she has some likes and I can quickly see oh you know I should be targeting game points Lots because we have a slot machine game or my Vegas slots and so on and so on so thats a really good way to find like unlimited interest and guys the key here is to find so many interest that this list is so long that every single day you can launch new ads with that show because the more ads you launch the more winners youre gonna find and this process might you know you might be thinking hey I dont want that many ads but dont worry because in my mind only 20 8020 rule 20 of the ads are gonna continue running after one day while the other 80 were just going to turn off and thats exactly why we only do $2 $0.50 or $2 ad sets is so we can run as many as possible at the same time collecting as much data as possible and youre gonna just have the best campaigns ever now the last way to find more interest is simply on power editor if you go ahead and lets just pick one of these interests that I had here lets say Golf Channel Ive already put it in the add show so it its all good we can use it later but if I were to type it in here to the interest on power editor I can type in Golf Channel and look at this see maybe thats not big enough lets just putting and what usually happens is you know power editor is pretty buggy sometimes but there we go look at that I have golf and now it suggests his golf channel it says PGA Tour golf course golf club so I would just simply put these in like golf club right I would put all of these suggestions because this is Facebook saying hey look out for this one put that into your you know make sure to test that one out or Golf Digest maybe make sure to test that one that one out like they know whats going on they they know how their audience responds so theyre just giving you even more ideas here so fifty to a hundred interest based off all of these its pretty easy and then you can type in other ones so I would list all of these in the ad show just so you have them and then I would go through and you know maybe this time I put in Masters Tournament instead see one thing and its just unlimited interest you sometimes have to close out and come back in but the more interest the better because that means the more shots you can take so tireless Callaway you can put this all into add show and once theyre all in the add show were gonna have so many interests that we can test and massively test things so thats about it theres three ways to really find interest you know audience insights is the first place I go and then Ill go kind of stock what my current users are using or liking and sharing commenting on and then Ill throw that back in to audience insights as well see if theres any more here at the same time Im always putting more and more interest in the ad show and then the last thing I check is just what is Facebook suggestive you know I have a list of a hundred different interests here I can put them all in individually and see if theres any other interests that theyre suggesting so thats the process for finding a ton of interest really quickly and you know even if this does take a little bit longer of time now Im gonna have a hundred 200 different interests inside an ad show that I can use for the next year two years whatever theyre always gonna be there and its gonna make it really easy to make ads really quickly in the next articles were gonna go over kind of how to launch ads with AD chill and do some more things and then later down the line is going to be talking about look-alikes look-alikes are very very powerful and I actually tend to use them you know equally or more than I use interests so the first step is always building your your profile of interest and then later on going into look-alikes one last thing I wanted to mention is make sure that youre always targeting a age group and gender dont just do like all 18 A because youll end up just getting the cheapest traffic you want to always be targeting the exact age groups you want and I like to target you know probably like 20 years at a time so maybe Ill do women 40 through 65 and then women 65 plus or women 35 and over but we like to keep these nice big audiences when possible so other than that Ill catch you in the next article hope youre having a great day and talk to you soon bye alright so now that you have a really nice list of interests I want to show you some things you can do daily with AD show first off you pick your account you want to use up here just pick that account right there and this is your actual Facebook ad account you want to use right so I can close that and then on the main page you know this is for apps so make sure that you have the apps button clicked up here it defaults it app so if youve already done that thats great and then one of the main things are the first things I do is Ill go find a campaign of mine and lets go ahead and scroll down here have this campaign running and I might select like multiple campaigns as you can see you know all the green ones mean theyre on the red ones mean theyre off I could select all three at the same time and do this all at once which is really nice but Im gonna show you how to do this just based off of one for now but keep in mind you can do this multiple campaigns at once and the first thing I like to do every morning and the Im trying to just give you tips about what you can do daily with agile and how to get the most out of it but the first thing I like to do is I go to my costs limit and thats essentially would what is the CPI well I want to get in this case what what is that CPI and lets say I want to dollar CPI or you can put 150 or you know one dollar or whatever your limit CPI is you put it in here I move with two dollars cuz I know thats hours you can also do have it do all this off purchases but were going to use installs for now so two dollars CPI and then you have to make sure to make ad a time range not like to use last seven days and then the first thing Im gonna do is say pretty much hey Id show I want to see every ad set that is over my limit because I want to see whats going on with it so I just click show above show above limit and its in parenthesis active and it should just take a couple seconds here and it should output them all so you can see all of these like this is 14 different ads that set up probably yesterday using an ad showing and theyre all above my limit meaning that they got you know they spent at least two dollars and they didnt gain installs or they you know is there were too expensive like this ones two dollars and fifty four cents per install thats over my limit this ones 271 which is over my limit and thats expected this whole process is takes so many shots that you know 80 fail and then we just turn them off you can click turn off right here and it just automatically turns all of them off if I deselect all I can select these like you know maybe because hey this ones you know two dollars and fifty four cents but you know I see a couple purchasers purchases came through so Im looking at mobile app purchases you know there isnt any in this example but if there were I could deselect it just like this like I could deselect these three and then turn off all the rest so I just click turn off and it would automatically turn those off really quickly so you dont have to waste your time going campaign to campaign to campaign or account to account and it makes it really easy now let me go ahead and actually turn those off Im gonna keep those three on turn off so boom I just you know killed everything that was not successful now lets look at the ones under two dollars because I know anything – these are like hyper targeted for us right now but anything under tuned to dollars is its pretty good for us let me click show under no I know a lot of examples will be like we want to be under sixty cents thats fine Ive showed up some things that are pretty intense here Ill talk about later but it allows us to spend a little more but now look I click two dollars last seven days and then now I want to see show underactive and I can see here all these are under it shows me my CPI my cost per purchase then stalls are sent and then this is what I like to do every single day is you know you can hit you can have most like however you want to look them it doesnt matter but the main part here is okay these are technically my winners I know theyre winning because theyre under my you know $2 rape or if youre dog heres a dollar rate or fifty cents rate whatever is there under my dollar rate so I can also you over here my daily budget I want to scale these this ones at five dollars Im gonna turn it to 11 and look at this one down here two dollars and 23 cents its under my rate so Im just gonna increase this to eleven dollars and thats what I was saying is even though we start small you know we can raise these bids really eat or budgets really easily and rapidly growing so 11.2 dollars to eleven dollars five dollars fifteen dollars and some people say hey dont raise your budgets too high but it doesnt matter to us simply because worse were sending new ads every single day that if these ads cant grow with us then we dont really want them around because our goal is not to be spending two dollars and fifty cents our goal is to be spending a lot of money driving them stalls that are profitable right so thats why your costs women is so its so important to keep in mind because now when you click show under it shows everything under that cost limit and you can absolutely kill it because you can scale so easily eleven Ive even turned that eleven dollar one into thirty three just like that right so boom I just did that for all of them now if you dont want to do them all separately you can have select all selected and then just say hey I want to increase all of these by twenty percent right here and then you would just click this scale button or I want to increase the all by $10 and you can click scale so you can see that becomes really easy as we get deeper in this process and theres a ton of winners and you want to save some time now what else would I do every single day so theres a couple things every day I believe in promoting as many ads as possible like you saw in the first day now Im gonna select you know a couple of these maybe this one and this one Ill look at what what look likes theyre targeted so I can see this its hard even that look like this Sargam that look alike and then Im gonna create new ads you know you can pick a bunch of new articles out of your article list I can pick all of these articles here because I know all of these are are winning articles and boom I have twelve or sixteen ad sets eighteen ad sets twenty ad sets and theres growing right its twelve times two I have 24 ads I can make right and then since its 24 of them I want to do six every mmm 12 hours so its its twelve to add today and that should go for two days right now I can pick more articles I have tons of articles and and thats why I suggest always make as many articles as possible and I could set those all up to launch and I just click schedule now now one thing Id like to show you is the budget area you can make this 250 or whatever you can change this so its its you know starts the scheduling you know tomorrow and said today Ill set it up for today and if you have multiple campaigns you just click per campaign Im only working with one campaign now so Im not gonna do that but then you can do the same thing for different audiences you have all these different look-alikes right and youll learn how to make more look-alikes later in this course you can do it with different images I always suggest articles you can do with all your interest users made you made a ton of interest and so I have 12 articles selected now I can select all of these interests I just made now I have 11 of those and twelve articles so 11 times 12 times 2 is a lot 264 and growing it and I could schedule these every six every 12 hours so they dont get you know stuck on top of each other and then if you want the to not use very many little life if you dont want them to compete against each other by default this is said three but I could delete the three and it would make a lot more add sets because its pretty much saying hey if theres a bunch of audiences selected here we wont we wont work it doesnt matter how many duplicates there are but if the only wanted to compete 3 times then we did that so thats one of those daily things I do with ad shows I just make a ton of ads that way I sometimes like to make them independently so I can say 12 times my to ad says I selected here I could pick 3 Adsit so I could pick 4 3 4 5 whatever but some of them just like best practices I like to set you know no more than like 10 ads per 12 hours because then I feel like its just a ton of ads but if you do 10 ads per 12 hours they can be multiple campaigns too so if you have 10 campaigns Im okay with doing 10 ads per campaign for 12 hours so you can see how you can set up a hundred new ads just like that and just play around with this I like to set up new articles every single day and Ill just click schedule now here and itll create 36 new ads for me so ads for the next three days and then what I can do is I can come back and do the exact same process but Ill take these three ad sets maybe this one this one and this one or the same ones and then just target my new interest right because I just put them all that work finding all these interests so I have 11 interest and I have three ads and all agile is doing its going in and taking these three ads and making new ads but a new ad for this interest a new ad for this interest a new ad for this interest a new ad for this interest so it just allows you to take so many shots so easily so Im gonna go ahead and actually do this process right now but with these articles and you can do this exact process with interest – so you just learn how to get all your interest and just use this exact sis Im showing you right here you know picked your three best ones or three ones you want to create more of and I want to click more of these because I see that theyre really low CPIs so however hows this audience going to respond to my new articles I just click schedule now theyre all gonna go up for two dollars and fifty cents its gonna be scheduled six now six and twelve hours six and another twelve hours six and another 12 hours so 36 ads so thats three days of ads that I just set up by just clicking that button and boom now ad show as you can see is going to execute it down here and then you can look on your ads manager and youll see these new ads up there I always suggest after you know this runs and it loads all your ads I always suggest looking at your ads manager just a double check to make sure everythings going well and thats about it thats how you create tons of ads and I just made 36 36 of them and you know two seconds but you can imagine how you can easily make 360 of these or 500 or whatever you want to do and then you just just make your budget down here and thats why we always start with a small budget so we can do some really cool things now Im gonna go ahead and show you more of this throughout this training this was just kind of an overview of what I do daily I start off with turning off anything over my cost limit in the last seven days and then after I turn those off I go down here and I click show under active look limit so I got a scale budget show under active limit so anything thats a winner I raise the budget a little bit you know if Im getting $1.00 CPI and making three dollars per install Im gonna change that $2.00 budget to a ten dollar budget and then the next thing Im gonna turn into a thirty dollar budget and a fifty dollar budget and a hundred dollar budget and so on and so on and then once I can see all my winners and Ive already scaled them then Im gonna go create more ads so all those interests you just made you can use this to create ads for all those interests and you can do the same thing for articles if you have images you can do that as well and then later on Ill show you what the audiences and the look-alikes I really really like look-alike audiences and youre gonna learn all that in this training so I thank you for watching this this article Im super excited to see some awesome results and will continue with with the training and Ill see you in the next one have a great day bye whats going on so in this next article were going to talk about custom audiences and look-alike audiences before talking about that let me explain what they are custom audiences are essentially saying hey Facebook go find the people who have completed this action whether that action is hey theyve downloaded my app or they even you know theyve launched my app in the last couple of days or they watched one of my facebook ad articles so were gonna make all of these custom audiences and they could be you know a hundred people that could be ten thousand people but then were gonna make look-alike audiences off them and thats where the power like thats one of the most powerful things under audiences here you can see all these look-alikes right so Im gonna show you how to make them first youll have to go into your asset library up here and its going to be under audiences in power editor and once youre there Im gonna put a list of these that you can create below but Im just gonna briefly go over some of them that you can make but the key here guys is is the same thing as with interest you want to have as many interests as possible so you can create as many ads as possible to figure out which one works the best same thing with look-alike audiences and in order to create those look-alikes you have to make a custom audience essentially Facebook what the look-alikes theyre theyre taking your custom audience and saying hey heres a million people who look just like that custom audience so you can see how powerful that is if youre doing a custom audience of you know 200 purchasers inside your app Facebook will go out and find based off their data two million people for a look-alike so let me show you how to make the custom audiences first and then on ad Joe will show you how to make the look-alikes because its kind of a pain so first custom audiences first things first I would mention all these in the in the post below but if you have an email list or multiple email lists just simply import your email list and make a custom audience off that secondly you know will pass the website traffic unless you do have a website that you can make look custom audiences off of you know whether its for your app or whatever thats another good option you can do all visitors to whatever page of your website but app activity is where were really gonna get started here so if for you you pick your game up here and you can put last I think up to 180 days I like it to be pretty long and then anyone who opened the app all you have to do is anyone who opened app and then maybe call it whatever your app name is right and Im going to show you a few of these but theres a ton and the key here is to do like 10 20 30 of these if you cant so lets go back into create audience and and it takes a while for it to populate so Im just going to keep creating more so app activity and now I can do most active users top 25 I can do 5 10 these are three different custom audiences you could make and I definitely recommend doing it because each one will be different and then you just put in the name for that name it something clear that you can see because your look like its gonna be named off after that then you can do all of these so people who have installed your app people whove launched your app people completed app sessions and then all of your events that you tagged or your developer tagged in your with the Facebook SDK you can make an event off all of these so I could say hey only people who play blackjack and then you can refine it even more by different like in the last 30 days so just play around in here and literally make as many custom audiences as you possibly can because thats going to enables us to make so many different look-alike audiences that its gonna be so powerful now I just want to quickly show you our one more thing engagement down here this is a good one articles I would do 25 50 75 95 for each article that youve ever advertised it has to do with your your app or your game or whatever it may be you just click choose articles and then call it you know 25 of article watched and I would do that 25 50 75 Id create this audience after I choose chose the article and then I would come back in do another one for 50 percent and the key here is just get as many custom audience as you possibly can obviously start with your purchasers and people whove gone like you know been in your app for a long time or are really far down you know maybe in level 10 or whatever but this is just a way to have unlimited audiences that you can always test and and like you know you know the more audiences you have the more ads you can run and the more winning ads youll find so after all of these are dealers pretend theres twenty thirty different audiences I challenge you to get you know twenty different custom audiences going there should be no problem it might take a little bit of time but ima show you something pretty cool here in a second to make it look like you usually go one you click that and then you click action to create look-alike and then you do a one percent look like for United States and then you click create audience and the cool thing about look-alikes and custom audiences they always populate so you know in ten days from now its gonna be populated with all the new people as well and then you do two percent so custom audience again you do United States and you do two percent so this ones gonna be 4.2 million and then you do three percent and I like to do at least 1 2 3 if you need extra audiences to test Ive had some really good results with four percent and 5 percent as well so I just click create audience so its kind of repetitive right and you have to start with unite or you dont have to start with United States but I like to start in the United States this ones gonna be 6.3 million but then after I do that for all United States I do the same thing for Canada because now I have audience based off of anyone who opened that thing go up in Canada – Im gonna do 1 through 3 percent for this article but I would probably do 5 percent normally Canada you can see how it kind of gets repetitive here but these are so so powerful that its so worth it Canada again but let me just quickly show you how I actually do this now because I got sick of doing this like literally youre gonna have like 300 look-alike audiences that are gonna be so powerful and really help you out but I just go over here to add show go to audiences and after the audiences are populated you might have to refresh your page or something but then you can just select all of the custom audiences you want as you can see these are shoppers inside of our games and you can see I select theres a 10 here now I can easily click United States you know United Kingdom Canada Australia and New Zealand and one through five percent and its two hundred and fifty look like audiences I just click create look-alike audience and boom it creates mobile ad chill create small itll take a few minutes of course but now you dont have to stay here going back and forth and you can use this tool in the future indefinitely so and once youre done once you click create look-alike and they populate you know it might take 20 30 minutes for Facebook to populate the audiences but once you do that youre gonna go back to your dashboard and everything you just saw in the last article about making new ads now you have all these look-alike audiences as well so its pretty cool pretend I just made these 15 look-alikes you know theres hundreds there and I can set them to any new ads that I want to set up I would just you know look at my my ads you know do the over-under the ones that are under considered winners to me and I can set them to these new audiences so really simple to do and I just wanted to show you the the best kind of route to make custom audiences and who to make them of Ill make sure theres a list of things down below but play around and hearing custom audiences because there are so many different custom audiences you can make it so many combinations of audiences that you can create pretty much unlimited look-alike audiences and that equals unlimited ads right and if you have unlimited ass lets assume that just you know 75 of them are gonna fail but youre gonna find 25 deter gonna kill it for you and they could potentially run for the next year so this is why youre gonna beat your competitors simply because youre taking more shots youre running more ads youre finding more gold nuggets and yeah thats about it so just lets go over this one time the the custom audiences I suggest to make or anything off the email list you have buyers whatever if you have a website definitely make some off website then the app activity is where it gets good because you can target any of your events that your developers set up you can target most active users of each event and so on and then the articles are very very good as well because if you have a longer article then if somebody watches you go here and say hey I only want target people that watch 75 of my article if your articles you know 2 minutes long then you know they just gave you a minute plus of your time and theyre super interested in whatever your niche might be and then you can do Facebook page I would definitely do this one as well pick all of these I mean each one of them separately of course but people who have engaged with your ads who have engaged in your page and so on and then you can even do Instagram business profiles so theres a ton of audiences you can make I challenge you to make at least 20 custom audiences and then jump over here to add show to to make all those look-alikes really quickly but other than that Im gonna catch you in the next article and I hope you have a great day bye alright so in this article I want to talk about how to write good copy or some things you can do to make sure people respond to your ads they dont just stop and look at them but they actually download your app so if you go over to this copy tab here you can click on headlines and text essentially you can add headlines and text in the add show so while youre testing all of them you know your different audiences or different articles or different interests you can also test different headlines and text so the headline is the portion right next to the button that would say install now while the text is the portion above the article that where you can kind of talk to them so lets start with the text and things I like to always include in the text is I like to pull you know these are some of the best things I use either pull in motion somehow connect you know connect with the the end user put yourself in their shoes isnt like theyre scrolling through their timeline right how do you connect with them how do you make them to think one way to make them think is asking a question do you love to meditate or even better you know are you spiritual see Im asking a question and thats forcing them to answer right and if they in the they dont have to answer it in text but its just about answers having them answer in their mind because if they answer and theyre mine thats the first step youre connecting with them so I like to do something like that you can also use kind of a FOMO type thing like a fear of missing out you know put a little urgency in there like hey today we are giving away ten dollars of three chips but its first-come first-serve so that works well right because lets say lets call it giveaway and you can see you can just add it right here and then you click Save and now its saved here forever and you can see you know what your click-through rate where you clicks where your impressions and all that and this worked well because it creates a little bit of a FOMO right now you can also be controversial I dont know what your niche is but like if theres something controversial you dont bring it up make people kind of think and what happens is theyll start commenting and anytime you get a comment thats when your ads really go viral so heres a good one heres a good example kind of using both where were trying to pull a comment out but like dont you love winning or dont you love jackpots theyre not gonna answer that right but theyre gonna think in their head like yeah that sounds great but if I put this at the bottom of the bottom comment yes if you want to win now and just name it whatever you want now every time they see this theyre gonna see oh dont you love jackpot of course yeah I love jackpots and then it says comment yes and a small portion of people are actually gonna comment yet which makes your ads go more viral youre gonna get more installs more impressions more everything because you have you know youre asking them to comment yes so those are the main things really you know pull emotion try to have some fear of missing out be controversial if needed get them to comment somehow and then just test them all separately so I can put you know my challenge to you is put ten different sets of text here and then later we can go in and easily just pick them right here as you can see and now my new ads are going to be set to them so I could select all of these ads right and then have my new text right there and I can do the exact same thing with headlines so thats why I chose the is to to allow you to mass test a lot of things without having to do all the manual labor right so a headline like call it play and then play for free you know mention that its free people love free but youll have to test this on your own what what what converts best for you and its cool because you can see here theres a cost per action a number of actions so this is how many installs that this headline drove and then it shows you the cost per and then your click-through rate and how many clicks and impressions so you youll quickly be able to see you know as you run these ads with this text or this headline youre gonna quickly be able to see oh you know what this headline or this text is getting 60 cent installs while this ones doing a dollar 20 and this headline here is doing 50 cent installs while the other ones doing dollar 50 so it clearly tells you oh I should be using this headline and said that headline and then you just really go into edge show and you say hey I want to you know I want to use this new headline I just put up and it could be like six different headlines I just added six different text and then I want to say hey I also wanted to use them against these new look-alikes I have here right so boom youre just creating ads like in no time and always remember this max look-alike duplicates you can erase this and its gonna make if youre using look-alikes then its just gonna make more ads as you can see its a hundred and twelve ads this is gonna create because I have seven audiences times two texts times one play and its pretty much gonna make those for all of these ad sets so Im gonna find the exact the winning ad set and its going to work for me forever and then all that everything else is tracked down here cost per purchase number of installs mobile purchases and so on and then you can just go ahead and click schedule now and this max duplicates thing right here you can see its a hundred and twelve combinations that thats because theres a lot of audiences kind of being duplicated now if you dont want to make that many ads you just put a number in here and say max duplicates of four right so that means that theres at the most theres only gonna be four ads with the same look like audience so you can test that out how you want to I usually dont use it sometimes I do if I want to cut back on ads because I you know 112 and I know I have a ton more that I want to run and Ill just cut back by using that you can put the budget in here you can schedule it every you know five every 24 hours or however youd like to this is always a lifesaver winner and Im headed out of town or or I just dont want to jump in Facebook ads for the next week set up ads for a week or a month or whatever the last thing I really want to show you is the breakdown section its pretty cool so I could make this cost limit a lot lower like it wasnt – and I just put it down to a dollar and essentially what if I click this button right here whats it its gonna do is its gonna find everything in this its only one campaign it could be like you know 20 campaigns but its gonna find all the mobile installs here that are under $1 but its gonna break them down by age and gender so normally I would have like a couple you know before I only had like five ad sets running but now you can see theres seventeen ad sets thats because its showing me per per age and gender so this is only female 65 plus this is females 55 to 64 this ones 45 to 54 and it can really like shed some light on which audiences are doing really well you like look at this 20 cent installs 22 in cent installs $0.22 installs and thats because theyre people 35 to 44 so it will either say male female or unknown as Facebook reports back unknown sometimes but thats fine and what happens here is boom I have 17 ad sets that I can just hit schedule now on and its gonna upload these 17 ads but in reality its that we already had these ads they were just in a much broader scope or demographic so this one ad that it output it may have been just a section of another ad well it was just a section of the other ad and usually what I would do here is inside of Facebook ads usually I would go in and see like okay this ad is performing very well but its only for women 25 34 or its males 35 to 44 but now you can just do that with a click of a button and look here so thats about it for today and let me know if you have any questions I think that weve covered mostly everything now weve gone over look alikes how to what to do every single day with AD chill you always want to be launching new ads you always want to be checking to see which ads are working which ones are not working so you just do the show above to see whats over your cost limit right in the last seven days or ever however youd like to do it and then show up of so its over my limit of two bucks I turn it off if I click and turn off now that now I click show under its under my limit of two bucks and I can scale it by either a dollar amount a percentage or I can do it individually just like that clicking these and then we went over how to take those winning ads like if these were all winning ads right here and then apply them to new audiences that you just created or your new articles you know its key to have a ton of articles to test at all times its key to always have tons of audiences different interests and you just go ahead and select those new tests you want to run and hit schedule now and you just keep doing that process even it sometimes if you feel like youve run an ad set before to the same targeting we all know Facebook is you know its kind of a black box and they dont even know whats going on so Ive had multiple times where its like okay this ad for three months was sending me 62 cent installs then all of a sudden it jumped up to $2 okay so that ad is dead so what did i do I just duplicated it and you can actually do that here on nacho but Ill get into that later I just duplicated it and it started working again and I actually duplicate a couple times and it worked on both right so theres theres some mystery to Facebook ads that I am very confident in running a lot of ads at all times because Im gonna find my winners and Im gonna find my losers and the key is to find your losers quickly before they spend a bunch of dollars you know set it 4 to 3 bucks and then the next day you can see you know its its spent a dollar 75 but my goal is a dollar 50 install and it did sending in any installs so boom Im just gonna turn it off so Im gonna put my cost limit at 150 right so its as simple as that let me know if you have any questions Ill continue to post new articles on here in this training section so we can just keep going over different things but I think I covered most of the big things theres a couple other little things that I can mention like duplicates and whatnot
